We offer the following sessions:

Session: ‘Full Day’

• Time: 8am – 6pm
• Who: All children and babies from 3 months – 5 years

​Session: ‘School Day’

• Time: 9am – 3.30pm or 8.30am – 3pm (for children with siblings at the school only)
• Who: Children and toddlers from 2 years old

Session: ‘Early Birds Breakfast Club’

• Time: 8am – 9am
• Who: Children and toddlers from 2 years old

Session Areas at Little Diggers Sidlesham

When accessing the free-flow nursery rooms and garden areas, children will discover an inspiring mix of EYFS-led activities, resources, and opportunities for play, thoughtfully chosen to spark curiosity, independence, and a love of learning as they pick, choose, and conquer challenges at their own pace.

Our Montessori classroom is a carefully prepared environment, designed to encourage concentration, confidence, and hands-on exploration, with child-sized resources that support independence and meaningful self-directed learning. Throughout the day, our teachers observe, support, and gently extend each child’s learning as appropriate.

When making use of the onsite woodland, children and babies develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on, age-appropriate woodland activities and play, including den building, fire lighting, tree climbing, bug hunting, bushcraft, gardening, experimenting with mud and natural ingredients, storytelling… the list goes on!

Snacks & Meal Times

Children are welcome to to bring their own packed lunch in or we can order a hot lunch from our nursery caterer Zebedees, at a small extra cost. All other snacks and meals are included in the overall session price.

After washing their hands, the 2-4 year olds are encouraged to pour their water, cut their fruit and serve themselves and any peers they may be sitting down with. This not only encourages independence but a strong sense of autonomy.

Parent App

Photos and updates are shared with you via our parent app, an online observation system, that allows you to log in at any time to view your child’s progress and development whilst at nursery.

We will also invite you for termly Parent Consultations to further discuss your child’s progress and development.
