• First and foremost are you a kind and warm person, who truly believes that children are powerful, creative and capable of leading their own learning?
• Do you embrace the outdoors – getting wet and muddy?
• Can you show genuine excitement when you are presented with a worm, a feather, or a big leaf…?! Better still, can you extend and scaffold this interest with open ended questions and future planning?
• Do you have an interest in the Montessori approach or the desire to learn and adapt your practice around the philosophy?
• Are you happy singing songs, telling stories and playing games?
• Are you brave enough to watch and see the benefits in children climbing trees, balancing on logs etc… but also sensible enough to assess the risks?
